Step 1: I made templates of the mirrors so I could play around with a
design before hammering nails into the freshly painted walls.
Step 2: I turned over the mirror, line up the template on top of the upside down mirror and marked where the hangers/holes are on the template, then taped the template to the wall. I did this so I knew where to hammer the nails once I found a pattern I liked. You will understand once you look at these three photos.
And here it is!!!
Step 4: Added all the fun goodies I have collected to make this space totally unique and totally me!
(My hubby and son have a bathroom in the basement so this IS the GIRL'S"
bathroom (for my daughter Madalynn and I) complete with a "girl" decal on the door :)
A grouping of glass jars (one full of Pretty Dittys from Louise's), pearls that once belonged to Louise on a crisp white soap dish all in a wonderful two-toned leather tray given to us from my mother-in-law Barb!
A standing mirror from a vacation my parents took back when I was in my teens, a beautiful frame I received from my girlfriend Bridget that holds our family photo, a light from my Mama Carol and a darling floral saucer used as a soap dish!
I will leave you with a tip: a mirror or picture frame on your vanity makes a great cover up to those ugly outlets and cords. As seen above (use a power strip and have all your hair electronics plugged in (with the strip turned off) in a basket on the side of your vanity then switch on when you are all set to do your hair = Eco friendly meets organized!
