Between Sales, we like to highlight one of Louise's Ladies (our dealers) personal projects or home renovations!
Well I got a good one for you!
Judi has just finished construction on a new home & has graciously offered us a tour!
The Back Story: Judi, along with her husband, manage Crystal Courts Apartment Building, the Old High School on 3rd & were offered a unique opportunity for a new living space within the building!  Let me tell you, this isn't just any ordinary apartment you might find within the building, they built a Loft in a space that was once the Schools Theater Stage!
Hold on to your hats....
you are about to experience the very essence of "Up-Cycling"
(aka taking something old & making it O' so wonderful!)
 Welcome to Judi's Place!

You enter their beautiful home from the buildings interior hallway, through the same door that the actors and actresses would have during the spaces original use. You walk up four or five stairs and are welcomed by original hardwood floors, natural light from windows above and beautiful exposed brick. Half-walls frame in their office but they chose not to enclose the ceiling to allow for a view of the full height of the space and to take advantage of the natural light.

Taken from above (from loft bedroom)

Judi found an old School Bell and had it installed above the window & she added the decals in honor of Princeton's School District and the building rich history within the community-

Past the entry & office you enter an open floor plan where living room, dinning area and kitchen adjoin into a beautiful harmonious living space. Below are photos of Judi's one-of-a-kind finds that fit perfectly within this space....much of which she purchased at Louise's Basement!

Judi with their dog Birdie

Judi focused a lot of attention on the kitchen layout and features: a must have butcher block center island, self closing drawers, real wood cabinets, black & stainless steal appliances. All dynamite choices! O' I cannot forget, she chose this wonderful (plastic) tin for a back splash to add light in the kitchen (from the reflection). Less expensive than real pressed tin, but no less beautiful!! Nice Job Judi!
On to the Toilet!!! Judi salvaged doors from the school for both bathrooms, the pantry, front entry closet and bedroom closet. And yes...She etched them all with the appropriate name! So darn Cute!!!

I just love this black and white check linoleum! I see a few things in here she picked up at Louise's: The mirror, the grouping of 3 picture frames, the lamp & red camping stove turned lamp stand!!!

Upstairs in the loft is a spacious bedroom with large bath, walk in closet, door to a small deck which are all wonderfully decorated.  But the thing I loved most was she had created a "coffee station" upstairs to enjoy morning coffee without having to go downstairs!~
How innovative!

Cheers Judi- You and your Hubby have done a wonderful job, creating, renovating, and transforming an unique space into a beautiful home!~
My hat goes off to you for your Up-cycling!!!
