BIG NEWS!

Louise's Basement Boutique has expanded! We have taken down our large Black Chalkboard wall and taken over the space that was behind the wall. It is a wonderfully-large additon to our orginal boutique and we couldn't be more pleased. It's a work in process but it is open, it is full of goods AND it was done just for you! More space equals more unique goods for you, your home or your gift giving!
And to help us fill the space, we have added new "Louise's ladies" (our dealors) and we are ready for this busy
Holiday season!
Bring it on!
Below is a before and after of the space and then a few photos of goods you will find at LB this month. More photos can be found by visiting our facebook Book Page albums http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.530733673608063.136613.157335180947916&type=1

Weekly Occasional Sale!

Louise's Basement will now be open Weekly!

Starting September 6th we will be open each week, Thursday - Sunday! Being open more means more shopping hours and better availability, more goods and unique items, some new dealers, more fun and just MORE LB...Yay!

Here's the plan:
Our dealers aka Louise's Ladies are bringing in items each week rather than just once a month! So your going to have to stop in, and stop in often!

We will be updating Facebook with photos of new goods ,
and we will be doing a monthly blog posts the 3rd week each month.
Our friend, and previous dealer, Stephanie's new Occasional sale shop will be open the 3rd week of the month and we plan to be full to the brim that week as well. So if your looking for a weekend to invite your friends and family...that would be the week! (Third week of the month: Thursday - Sunday)

But again, LB will be open EVERY WEEK
Thursday - Sunday!

August's Sale 8/15 - 8/19

We have delivered goods, restocked, organized and re-staged the basement full to the brim and it's looking pretty darn good down there! If the rain bypasses us on Wednesday, Louise's Courtyard Market (our outdoor area) out back up the pink stairs will be full with goodies too! Its a sure thing for Thursday and the rest of the weekend...but it sure does like to rain every wednesday of our sales! :(
Here are some photos of the new goods. Enjoy!

Handmade rugs and pillows
Ms. Ann was busy sewing her amazing braided rugs and yo yo pillows!
Don't you just love the Autumn colors!
Ms. Ann also created the fun lamp seen here that sits upon Ms. Emily's beautiful 6 foot long table!
This table has been refinished, has three leaves and the most dynamite legs!

Up close of the legs on Ms. Emily's Table

Ms. Laural brought down this amazing antique white tall-boy. Note the ornate decals on the very top and on the drawers with the old key holes!

Ms. Laurel also brought in this beauty! Three drawer solid wood dresser painted white.

Ms. Susan has this fun vintage "Telephone Table" just perfect for a little reading area or for an entryway, i.e. a place to stow your car keys and purse near the door!

Hillbilly Goblets
Ms. Susan also is the creator of this darn-right fun drinking glasses!
She named them Hillbilly Goblets...a perfect name for just a drinking device!
(When your done drinking for the evening but still have some wine remaining...Just screw the top back on and store in the fridge until tomorrow evening!

And if you're in need of a bar to place your Hillbilly Goblets on...Ms. Laurel's bar on casters might just be the bar for you! (How great would this be for outside entertaining!?!?)

Ms. Ann's storage bench in painted a soothing white and has darling knobs.
(Bench lifts up like a trunk for great storage)

This vintage dresser by Ms. Stephanie has just the most amazing finish!

Laurel's drop-leaf table is great with leaves up or down!
Perfect for those people who entertain, but not all the time!
Would make a great card table too!

This unique table Kelly picked up on her"Junking Trip" to MO earlier this Summer. It got a "once-over" and is looking mighty nice now. It comes with one leaf (not shown)

This "a-la-natural" kitchen cabinet is perfect for any ones Kitchen... but let us know if you would like it painted and we will paint it up "LB Style" for you for $40.00 (on top the sales price)

Ms. Laurel brought in the most unique piece this sale: a white chicken wire 3-tiered shelf perfect for plants or just about anywhere in the home (I see it in a bathroom with towels)!
And Ms.Ann wiped up these amazing throw pillows...one might be going home with me!

Ms. Ann's grandfather's close is truly a fun piece
with storage behind clock and body of base!

This desk is ready for "Back to School"!
 Dress those kids in style with clothes from Ossell's Fine Apparel &;
dress up their bedrooms with this desk!

Here is the matching tall boy dresser to the above desk.
Both painted a antique white with white drawer pulls.

We are working on a new display for our letters!
More letters will be added and numbers too!

Here is a dynamite antique dresser. Bottom drawer had seen better days, so it was converted into a drop down drawer...perfect storage for books, art paper tablets, maps, legal files or other long items.

We will leave you with a view of the fun lighting we have currently in LB. There is more, but this is a good taste of what you will find in the Louise's Basement!

and for you bow-loving, chicken-wire-junkies (like me) here is the lamp for you!

See you at the Sale!

We flipped-flopped our vignettes and got creative with Red, and we now have a "Red-Room"
in LB!

The red-room extends to the brick wall where the man-cave once had been!
We hope you love the change as much as we do!

Shabby cream head board: Queen or Full
Don't worry if your not into red, our other colors this sale are Yellow and Blue! So around the rest of the store you will find pops of both blue and yellow playing off one another! A beautiful combo!

The lower level book shelve has a matching twin painted black (no photo)

Do remember that we have these wonderful Farm Tables! Only 400.00 and they are made to your Stain of choice and leg color of choice! So many beautiful combos to choose from!

Ms. Emily brought in the most unique piece this sale. This occasional table has the most amazing feet ...err I meant claws!!

Ms. Jen Table paired with Ms. Laurels chairs make the PERFECT set! These chairs are wonderfully large, yet the size of the whole set allows for use in a smaller eat-in kitchen!

Ms. Ann G. crocks are in wonderful conditions~ A collector's dream can be your reality...snatch them up this sale!

The man cave moved (didn't know a cave could move, did ya) and lots of new treasures were added!

A shelf by Ms Kelly and a Shelf by Ms. Stephanie, sure do look great all stacked with goodies!

This hump-back cedar trunk is simply wonderful and it smells Divine!

Ms. Stephanie has out-done herself with this lovely table, the finish is just killer!
A must see!
This wonderfully large coffee table is perfect for a family room
or to help ground an outdoor patio area!

These beauties are dynamite paired together! I just love the blue and yellow combo!

Ms. Ann spent some (a ton) of time and made these wonderful braided-rugs:
One is oval and one is round.

Ms. Jenny and Ms. Emily paired more of their fantastic beaded silverware with yummy jams
and have created more gift sets for you!

Our Louise's Ladies have put the pedal to the medal (as they say) to find you the BEST shabby items around and we look forward to helping you create your everyday into a Special Occasion!!

See you on Wednesday! We open at 10am
